Central College senior Renee Herbers won a research grant to conduct fitness research with assistant professor of exercise science Sara Shuger Fox.

Morgan Oster, junior communication studies and exercise science student, was chosen to receive the C.A. and Francis L. DeBruin award. This award is given to a junior or senior in communication studies who shows academic achievement, high moral character and strong contributions to the college.

Sometimes, all it takes is a tie blanket and a visit from college students to brighten the lives of local nursing home residents. Students in Laps of Love create hand-tied blankets for local seniors.

Central College students studied around the world during fall semester. Central supports off-campus programs around the world, and each academic major allows space for students to study abroad while earning credit toward a major, minor or core curriculum requirements.

Central College students Jaime Miranda and Andrea Guzman received $1,000 scholarships from Latinos Unidos. Central matched the scholarship with an additional $1,000.

Central students are cast in a comedy play, "Boeing-Boeing."
