Central College senior Karina Suarez of Grimes received $1,000 scholarship from Latinos Unidos in September. Central matched the scholarship with an additional $1,000.

Ashton Mayer '15 of Essex was named a finalist in the First Annual Ahlers & Cooney Student Art Competition for her piece "Makings of Flight." Mayer received an award and cash prize of $250. In addition, Ahlers & Cooney made a matching donation to Central College.
