Central College students and alumni will perform in Central's Homecoming 2018 Saturday night concert. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, in the newly renovated Douwstra Auditorium, and features the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, the A Cappella Choir and Alumni Choir.

Five Central College seniors will hold their final art exhibitions beginning April 24 at the Mills Gallery in the Lubbers Center for Visual Arts. The Senior Thesis Exhibit events are free and open to the public. Mills Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. A reception for the show will be held from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, April 29.

Central College students and alumni will perform in Central's Homecoming 2018 Friday night concert. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28 in the newly-renovated Douwstra Auditorium. The show will feature the college's ALMA groups and chamber singers performing alongside Chris Weaver '10, a recent contestant on "The Voice."

Central College's A Cappella Choir will take Austria and Germany by song May 16-27, with more than 60 student vocalists performing on tour.

Three Central College students will compete in the Kennedy American College Theatre Festival (ACTF) Jan 22-28 in Des Moines.

Four Central students were nominated for the Irene Ryan Acting Competition for their outstanding performances in recent Central College theatre productions. The competition will take place in January at the American College Theatre Festival.

Central students are cast in a comedy play, "Boeing-Boeing."

Seniors Heidi Heckenberg and Cindy Williams will display the best of their work at Central in Mills Gallery April 25-May 13.

Ashton Mayer '15 of Essex was named a finalist in the First Annual Ahlers & Cooney Student Art Competition for her piece "Makings of Flight." Mayer received an award and cash prize of $250. In addition, Ahlers & Cooney made a matching donation to Central College.
