Van Gorp repeats as all-region and all-district first team

He has been named first team all-region in consecutive seasons

Pella, IA (03/19/2025) — PELLA- For the third consecutive season, center Joshua Van Gorp (5th-year, Pella, Pella Christian HS) was selected to the NABC All-District IX First Team.

He was also named to the D3hoops.com All-Region IX First Team for the second consecutive season.

Van Gorp repeated as a first team American Rivers all-conference selection for the third consecutive year, also being named MVP the past two.

This season, Van Gorp averaged 23.5 points, the seventh highest in the country, and 10.5 rebounds per game, both of which led the conference. He also led all of Division III in field goals made with 266 and field goal percentage at 68%.

It was a memorable season as Van Gorp broke multiple records. Against Dubuque on February 15, Van Gorp surpassed 1,856 career points which was set by Colby Taylor from 2013-17. He finished his career with 1,991 points. He also broke the records for double-doubles in a season along with the most in a career. He finished with 16 double-doubles this season, and 36 for his career, passing Taylor again who had 33.

Van Gorp also broke his own school record, and A-R-C record, for points in a game with 55 against Coe in a 75-73 win on February 1.

The Dutch finished their season with a 17-12 record and won the A-R-C tournament for the first time since the 2015-16 season.
