Six Central women's soccer players earn CSC Academic All-District honors
The Dutch finished their season 11-7-2
Pella, IA (01/09/2025) — Six Central College women's soccer athletes were selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District.
To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must play in 90% of a team's contests at the varsity level or start in 66% of the games while achieving a 3.50 or better cumulative grade point average (4.00 scale). Each institution can nominate a limited number of players per gender.
The players selected were defender Katy Brown (junior, West Alton, Mo., Orchard Farm HS), forward Grace Coates (senior, Marion), forward Piper Eighmy (sophomore, Birmingham Ala., Briarwood Christian HS), defender Bailey Huizenga (junior, Colona, Ill., Geneseo HS), midfielder MiMi Pavelka (junior, Shakopee, Minn., Holy Family HS), and forward Alli Seegers (sophomore, Waverly, Waverly- Shell Rock).
Katy Brown is a business management and communication studies double major and maintained a 3.74 GPA. On the field she started 18 games and played 1455 minutes.
Coates is a kinesiology major maintaining a 3.74 GPA. She led the Dutch with seven goals and added four assists for 18 points.
Eighmy is a biology and business management double major maintaining a 4.00 GPA. She scored six goals on 19 shots and played in all 20 games.
Huizenga is a kinesiology major, maintaining a 3.99 GPA. She led Central with 1749 minutes played and started all 20 games.
Pavelka is a kinesiology major who maintained a 3.98 GPA. She started all 20 games this season and logged 1459 minutes while also collecting two assists.
Seegers is an undeclared major maintaining a 3.51 GPA. She started all 20 games this season and scored three goals, while also collecting five assists.
The Dutch finished their season with a 11-7-2 (3-3-2 American Rivers) record.
