Central RED Society to Celebrate the Holidays
Pella, IA (11/07/2019) — Central College's Central RED Society will host a Dutch style holiday celebration at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, in the Dave and Ardie Sutphen Common Room in Graham Annex. Cost is $15 and includes heavy appetizers and Bisschopswijn Mulled Wine.
The celebration will share traditional Dutch foods with Lowell Olivier-Shaw, conference coordinator at Central since 2000. Olivier-Shaw also is the owner of Bisschopswijn Mulled Wine. He holds etiquette seminars for students and professionals, bartends at the Big Steer in Altoona and collects antiques.
The holiday celebration ends first-semester activities for Central RED, with 10 events planned for the spring semester.
Central RED (Ready to Engage and Discover) is a volunteer-driven, lifelong learning and social organization with an abiding partnership with Central College alumni and friends who wish to share knowledge, talents and experiences. Members pay $20 annually to join Central RED.
