Central RED Society Presents "Let's Talk" with Radio Personality Bob Leonard
Pella, IA (02/10/2020) — Central College's Central RED Society presents "Let's Talk" with Bob Leonard of KNIA/KRLS radio in Pella, Knoxville and Indianola. The presentation will begin at noon Thursday, Feb. 20, in the Dave and Ardie Sutphen Room of Graham Annex at Central College. Cost is $10 with lunch to begin at 11:30 a.m.
Leonard will talk about the art of storytelling and read from his new book "Deep Midwest: Midwestern Explorations," which was released in October. It is a book of short stories and poetry about rural life.
Much of Leonard's written work covers rural issues, including politics, agriculture and climate change. He is an occasional contributor to The New York Times, Kansas City Star and Des Moines Register. Leonard has appeared on "Reliable Sources" on CNN, "Meet the Press Daily" with Chuck Todd, MSNBC with Katy Tur, Iowa Public Television's "Iowa Press," Iowa Public Radio's "River to River" and "Talk of Iowa," WNYC and more.
