Central College Welcomes Two New Advancement Team Members

Pella, IA (09/27/2018) — Corey Falter, Central College's new director of annual giving and alumni engagement, began his new position July 9.

Falter was recently associate director of development at the University of Colorado Denver. Prior to that, he served in roles of progressively increasing responsibility in marketing and development at Syracuse University and as manager of individual giving at the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra.

Falter holds a Bachelor of Arts in policy studies and political science, a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in nonprofit management and a Master of Science in social studies education, all from Syracuse University. He also completed the Institute for Leaders in Development program at the University of Denver.

"We're very fortunate to have attracted someone with Corey's talent and considerable experience in higher education development," says Sunny Eighmy, Central's vice president of advancement. "He hit the ground running and we know the college's alumni, friends and our colleagues across campus will enjoy working with him as much as our team does."

Nicholas J. Norman, Central's new major gift officer, joined the college's advancement team September 17.

Norman recently completed a 12-year tenure with the Boy Scouts of America where he served in various advancement positions in Iowa and Colorado. Before that, he served Gannett Media, the Colorado Springs Gazette, and other newspapers in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana and Colorado as a sales executive, sales manager, retail director, retail advertising manager and display advertising director and chief revenue officer.

Norman is a past president and active member of the Rotary District's largest Rotary Club and an active member of Association of Fundraising Professionals and ILLOWA Partnership for Philanthropic Planning. He graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration - Finance.
