Central College Voted Best of Red Rock 2020

Pella, IA (02/24/2021) — Central College won two Best of Red Rock Area awards from the Marion County Development Commission.

For 2020, Central was named Best Caterer and Best Conference Venue. Central has frequently won top honors in these categories in the past.

Pella Cinemas, which is owned by Central, also was one of the local spots included in the Top 10 After 5 p.m.

Additionally, Colin Van Kooten, Class of 2009, was named as one of Red Rock Area's Top 10 Under 40. Van Kooten is a production control manager at Vermeer Corporation and serves in leadership roles with Total Outdoorsmen and Pella Historical Society and Museums.

The Best of Red Rock Awards honor businesses and organizations throughout the county in 55 categories, based on votes from area residents.

Winners are tabulated through the Marion County Development Commission website.
