Central College Theatre Department to Present "Nunsense"

Pella, IA (04/19/2021) — Central College's music and theatre departments will present Dan Goggins' musical comedy "Nunsense" from April 22-25 in Kruidenier Theatre.

The story follows the Little Sisters of Hoboken as they attempt to pay for the burials of 52 sisters who were accidentally poisoned by their cook. To put up this farcical variety show fundraiser, the sisters have taken over the auditorium where the set of the eighth-grade production of "Grease" lives. This contributes to the comic surprises that make up the show.

Directed and choreographed by C.D. Adamson, assistant professor of theatre, with musical direction from Sean Stephenson, professor of music, performances will take place at 7 p.m. April 22-24 and at 2 pm. April 25. Kruidenier Theatre will be limited to half capacity with physically distanced seating and mandatory masks for the audience.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for students and senior citizens and free to Central students, faculty and staff with a Central ID. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time at events.central.edu or at the door the night of the show.
