Central College's Duinink Appointed to Iowa Board of Chiropractic

Pella, IA (04/06/2020) — Leslie Duinink, registrar and class dean at Central College, has been appointed by Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds to the Iowa Board of Chiropractic.

The Iowa Board of Chiropractic evaluates the qualifications of applicants for licensure and grants licenses to those who qualify. It also establishes rules and regulations to ensure the integrity and competence of licensed chiropractors and investigates complaints for unprofessional conduct.

The board is five members licensed to practice chiropractic and two members not licensed to practice chiropractic and represent the general public. Duinink is a public member.

"I am honored to have been selected by the governor to continue to serve in this capacity," Duinink says. "I look forward to working with my fellow board members to ensure Iowans continue to get high-quality chiropractic care."

A 1990 graduate of Central, Duinink has a master's degree in athletic training from Indiana State University. A tenured member of the faculty, she has taught athletic training, exercise science and liberal arts classes at the college. She also served as head athletic trainer for eight years.
