Central College Receives Gift from Precision, Inc.

Pella, IA (03/22/2021) — Central College received a generous gift from Precision, Inc., of Pella that will be made over the course of three years to support athletics and student scholarships.

The majority of the gift supports key athletics initiatives on the heels of a recent $18 million expansion and renovation of P.H. Kuyper Gymnasium called Forever Dutch. Construction on that project is expected to be completed in the months ahead and will be celebrated by the community this fall.

Precision's gift also supports the Journey Scholarship Fund, which is celebrating its 10th year and has awarded thousands of scholarships to students from around the country. This year, 784 students received a Journey Scholarship. Journey Scholarships are 100% donor funded and all gifts directly support students.

"We are so grateful to Precision for their generosity in helping Central students by supporting to both scholarships and athletics," says Sunny Gonzales Eighmy, vice president for advancement and a 1999 Central graduate. "Nearly all our students use the athletics facilities, including our fitness center, and scholarships remain important in allowing current and future students access to a Central education.

"We are lucky to have a company like Precision in our backyard that supports Central in so many ways. We can't thank them enough and I love to see the company name prominently displayed on our campus scoreboards and donor boards."
