Central College Commemorates the 100-year Anniversary of Armistice Day

Pella, IA (11/05/2018) — Central College will host a special commemoration of Armistice Day and Veterans Day at 1:30 p.m.Monday, Nov. 12, in the Central Chapel.

All are invited to join in observing the 100th anniversary of the official end of World War I. Central Chaplin Joe Brummel will offer a memorial service honoring the sacrifice of all who served in World War I and all veterans, past and present. Mark Barloon, senior lecturer of history, will present a brief lecture entitled, "Armistice Day 100 Years Later." A reception with light refreshments will follow. The event is free and open to the public.
