Another large Dutch contingent headed to NCAA indoor track and field meet

Central qualified 11 athletes

Pella, IA (03/10/2025) — PELLA - With 11 athletes filling 10 qualifying spots, the Central College track and field program will be well represented at the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships.

The national meet is to be held in Rochester, New York this Friday and Saturday.

The women's distance medley relay team will make its third consecutive appearance. This year's foursome features Peyton Steffen (junior, Marion, Emily McMartin (junior, Pella), Alivia Roerdink (sophomore, Tiffin, Ohio, Hopewell-Loudon HS) and Addison Parrott (senior, Danville). Parrott and Steffen are also in the 3,000-meter race. Olivia Bohlen (junior, Belle Plaine) is the other Dutch women in action this weekend, competing in her second national pentathlon.

Seven Dutch men qualified as individuals. Grant Miller (junior, Norwalk) and Gunner Meyer (junior, Fairbank, Wapsie Valley HS) are both in the 60-meter hurdles. Kale Hobart (sophomore, Mason City and Reid Pakkebier (senior, Cedar Rapids, Kennedy HS) also give Central a pair in the heptathlon. Jack Brown (sophomore, Norwalk) qualified in the mile and Kale Purcell (senior, Holton, Kan.) is going in the triple jump

10 a.m. - men's heptathlon (60 meters)

10:20 a.m. - women's pentathlon (60-meter hurdles)

10:40 a.m. - men's heptathlon (long jump)

11:20 a.m. - women's pentathlon (high jump)

1 p.m. - men's heptathlon (shot put)

1:05 p.m. - women's pentathlon (shot put)

1:30 p.m. - men's 60-meter hurdles (prelims)

2:35 p.m. - men's mile (prelims)

2:35 p.m. - women's pentathlon (long jump)

3 p.m. - men's heptathlon (high jump)

4:20 p.m. - women's pentathlon (800 meters)

6:30 p.m. - women's distance medley relay

Saturday, March 15

10 a.m. - men's heptathlon (60-meter hurdles)

11:20 a.m. - men's heptathlon (pole vault)

2:30 p.m. - men's triple jump

3 p.m. - men's 60-meter hurdles (prelims)

4 p.m. - men's mile (finals)

4:45 p.m. - men's heptathlon (1000 meters)

6 p.m. - women's 3,000-meter run
