Sada Thompson competes with Central College mock trial team

Sada Thompson, a native of Volga, Iowa, competed in the Drake Bulldogs Invitational for the Central College mock trial team. Thompson is a senior with a theatre major.

The team finished third in a field of nineteen teams with a 6-2 record. They defeated teams from Iowa State, Washburn (Kan.) and Drake Universities. Tyler Ernst received the Outstanding Attorney Award for his work on behalf of the plaintiff in this year's case.

The mock trial team is open to students from all academic disciplines. The team participates in approximately six competitions per year, beginning in the fall. Students can earn academic credit for participation.

Central College is a private, four-year, residential liberal arts college in Pella, Iowa. Central's academic program offers 39 majors leading to a bachelor's degree, along with pre-professional programs and advising.
