Rhianna Fleetwood Named Board of Trustees Student Representative at Central College

Sycamore native Rhianna Fleetwood has been selected as a board of trustees student representative at Central College for the 2012-13 academic year. The junior business management major is one of four students who will serve alongside the student body president on the board.

The Central College bylaws provide for a special form of non-voting trustee membership. Each year, the committee on trusteeship reviews students and recommends candidates for election to the board. Student trustees serve a one-year term during which they attend two board meetings and are assigned to one of the board committees. Students are accorded all privileges on the floor but are not eligible to vote.

Central College is a private, four-year, residential liberal arts college in Pella, Iowa. Central's academic program offers 39 majors leading to a bachelor's degree, along with pre-professional programs and advising. Central was recognized in the 2011 U.S. News & World Report's annual rankings of the best liberal arts colleges in the nation.
