Megan Strait Presents at Heartland Global Health Consortium

On Wednesday, Oct. 12, Megan Strait, a senior biology major from Winterset, Iowa, along with 12 other students from Central College in Pella, Iowa, presented at the Heartland Global Health Consortium, "The Challenges of Global Aging," held at Des Moines University. Strait presented a poster entitled "Diabetes: An Aging Accelerator" with Judy James.

The consortium was held to teach participants about the challenges of global aging, to identify action steps to address the issue and to question how society can assist in promoting a healthy lifestyle for the elderly. Students and faculty from eight Iowa colleges attended this year's consortium.
