Alison Ranniger helps present Shakespeare classic

Manning native Alison Ranniger helps present a contemporary twist on Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew" at Central College in the Kruidenier Theatre March 4, 5, 6, and 7. Shakespeare's classic tale gets a "hipster culture" twist in a shortened production that lasts just over one hour. Raised in a "modern family," the independent Kate meets swaggering Petruchio, and through their constant bickering, the comedic couple finally end up in a loving relationship neither could have predicted.
